The project consists of the removal of the existing chain-link fence and all gates from both courts and hauling off for disposal. New 1 5/8” top and bottom rails will be installed on both courts. Each court requires a different scope of work, as outlined below: West Courts (130’ x 120’ dimensions): o Eight damaged posts (as identified on page 31) will need to be cut flush with the concrete and replaced with a new, 9.5’ tall, 2” galvanized post to be plated and anchored to the concrete. Fill in any exposed cut off posts with concrete. o Two additional 9.5’ tall, 2” galvanized posts will be installed in place of existing 3.5’ tall posts as identified on page 30. The existing 3.5’ posts will be cut flush with the concrete and replaced with a new, 9.5’ tall, 2” galvanized post to be plated and anchored to the concrete. If the cut off posts are exposed, fill in with concrete. o The 3.5’ tall posts on the west and east sides of the court will be sleeved with new, 4’ tall, 2.5” galvanized posts. Each post will be back filled with cement grout. o Two 4’ walk-in gates will be installed in place of the existing gates using bulldog hinges and a fork latch at each gate. See page 30 for location details. o One 8’ entrance gate will be installed on the north end of the court in place of the existing one using bulldog hinges and a fork latch. A new 1 5/8” header will be required. o All new and remaining fence posts will need to be prepped for painting using acetone to clean the posts followed by a primer coat designed for galvanized metal. Two coats of gloss black paint for galvanized metal will then be applied. o New, vinyl-coated black 1.75” mesh chain link fencing will be installed. East Courts (120’ x 110’ dimensions): o Existing 9.5’ tall, 2.5” posts on the east and west sides of the court (as identified on page 30) will be cut to 4’ tall. o Existing service gate on the east side of the court will be removed by cutting the posts down to 4’ tall and surface mounting a new 4’ tall 2.5” post in between to be plated and anchored to the concrete for the 4’ walk-in gate. New walk-in gate will require bulldog hinges and a fork latch at each gate. See page 30 for location details. o On the west side of the court, a new 4’ walk-in gate will be installed by adding a new 4’ tall, 2.5” galvanized post to be plated and anchored to the concrete. New walk-in gate will require bulldog hinges and a fork latch. See page 30 for location details. o One 8’ entrance gate will be installed on the north end of the court in place of the existing one using bulldog hinges and a fork latch.
