It is anticipated that background checks may be conducted on all potential new hires prior to job offer or as part of a conditional job offer. Background checks may also be conducted at KUMC on incoming medical, nursing, and health professions students per year, as well as incoming medical residents. Background checks may additionally be conducted on contract workers/service providers present at a participating university (e.g. janitorial staff, contract laborers, etc.). Background checks may be conducted on other students. Approximate quantities are: FHSU: 300 checks annually. KUMC: 1600 checks annually: A. 65% of checks are for packages 1-4, as listed in the cost worksheet. B. 15% of checks are for packages 7-8, as listed in the cost worksheet.
