The City of Manteca (City) is soliciting electronic request for proposals (RFP) for Professional Engineering Services (Services) for the Well 22 Treatment Project. The municipal water well is located at Walnut Place Park, north of State Highway 120 to the City’s northerly limits. Distribution System Schematic Diagram is presented at figure 3-2 in the 2024 Water Master Plan. The existing well 22 is used as a critical part of the public water supply. However, it has been identified that the well contains contaminants, including PFAS and other substances such as arsenic. This RFP seeks a consultant specializes in water treatment and drinking water standards to conduct a comprehensive assessment of water quality, evaluate contaminate concentrations, and recommend feasible treatment options to ensure the well water meets regulatory standards with the considerations of the whole water distribution system. The City of Manteca’s Water Utilities department is requesting proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide engineering and preliminary design services for the integration of the treatment system at Well 22. The preliminary design report that results from this project will be used to provide direction to the full design to the water treatment system.
