The proposed AVID/TOPS evaluation will assess the impacts of AVID/TOPS on college and career readiness as well as the fidelity of implementation of the AVID/TOPS Partnership model. Evaluators will estimate AVID/TOPS partnership impacts in three areas: 1) high school academic outcomes, 2) end-of-high-school academic outcomes, including graduation, and 3) college enrollment, persistence, and completion outcomes. Student surveys and student focus group responses will inform the assessment of college and career readiness components and provide formative feedback on program implementation from the student perspective. Boys & Girls Club and MMSD will split the total cost of the evaluation. The Boys & Girls Club of Dane County will reimburse MMSD for 50% of the total cost of the evaluation.
