Contractor must pressure wash all exposed exterior surfaces of the home stands, the press box, including all metal stairs, beams and fencing under the press box, concession building, including entrance sign, doors and frames, handrails, and columns to remove oil, loose paint, dirt, foreign matter, rust, mold, and/or mildew. Sufficient drying time must elapse before painting can begin. Contractor must ensure that all metal is free of rust and any area that has rust must be removed and primed. Painting will be completed as follows: o Block Wall: All bare areas will be spot primed using Sherman-Williams Loxon Concrete and Masonry Primer/Sealer (LX02W0050 or approval equal). Sufficient drying time, according to manufacturer’s instructions, must elapse before the first coat of paint is applied. Contractor will apply two (2) coats of Sherwin-Williams Loxon Self-Cleaning Acrylic Coating (LX14W0051 or approved equal). Sufficient drying time, according to manufacturer’s instructions, must elapse before the second coat is applied. o Metal Beams and Stairs: First coat of paint will be Macropoxy 646 Fast Cure Epoxy Part A Ultradeep/Clear Tint Base (B58T0064 or approved equal). Sufficient drying time, according to manufacturer’s instructions, must elapse before the second coat is applied. Second coat of paint will be Sherwin-Williams Loxane 800 Protective & Marine Coating (B80T00504 or approved equal). o Metal Doors (including frames) and Handrails: Contractor will apply two (2) coats of Sherman-Williams Loxane 800 Protective & Marine Coating (B80W00501 or approved equal). Sufficient drying time, according to manufacturer’s instructions, must elapse before the second coat is applied. o Concrete Walkways on Bleachers: Contractor will apply two (2) coats of Colortop Water-Based Solid Color Concrete Stain (or approved equal). Sufficient drying time, according to manufacturer’s instructions, must elapse before the second coat is applied. Contractor will apply Sharkgrip Adhesive Additive to all yellow areas in the walkways. NO Sharkgrip will be applied to green areas in the walkways. o Hardiboard: Contractor will apply two (2) coats of Sherman-Williams Loxane 800 Protective & Marine Coating (B80W00501 or approved equal). Sufficient drying time, according to manufacturer’s instructions, must elapse before the second coat is applied. o Columns: Contractor will apply two (2) coats of Sherman-Williams Loxane 800 Protective & Marine Coating (B80W00501 or approved equal). Sufficient drying time, according to manufacturer’s instructions, must elapse before the second coat is applied. Unless otherwise indicated, contractor is to provide factory-mixed coatings. When required, mix coatings to correct consistency in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions before application. Contractor will not reduce, thin, or dilute coatings, or add materials to coatings unless such procedure is specifically described in the manufacturer’s product instructions. Contractor must match paint with current colors and must be approved by project manager before application.
