a. Material Collection: The Contractor shall remove all trash material of any kind which is placed in the container, except for radioactive, volatile, highly flammable, explosive or toxic materials, or other materials which are designated as hazardous waste. All title to the waste collected shall be vested in the Contractor when such waste has been loaded in the Contractor's truck. The contractor must report to the University Quarterly (October, January, April, and July) in tons, through the Director, Environmental Services, how much waste material is hauled from the premises. b. Route Schedules: Waste disposal service shall be based on container sizes and pickup frequency which shall be determined by the University Director, Environmental Services as deemed necessary. Service shall be provided daily, Monday through Friday, unless an alternative agreed upon for special circumstances. c. Blocked Access: In the event an illegally parked vehicle prevents the service of a container at the normally scheduled time, the following procedure will be followed: (1) Driver will immediately report blockage to Augusta University (Phone: 706-721-3740) and provide the location and license number of the vehicle blocking the container. (2). Drivers will make a second attempt to service blocked container prior to leaving campus. (3). Should the second attempt fail and shall the Contractor be in the area of the University later in the same day, another attempt to service that container must be made. 4). If the Contractor is not in the area the same day, the blocked container will not be serviced until the following day. NOTE: Charges for any container shall be based on the number of times actually serviced. d. Extra Pick-ups: “Extra" pickups shall be provided only when they are authorized by the Director Environmental Services or a duly authorized agent. An "Extra” pickup is defined as one which is ordered between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 noon, with the service being performed PRIOR to 4:30 p.m. of the same day. Pickup of Yard waste containers shall not be considered an “Extra” pickup. e. Missed Services: In case of missed scheduled collections, the Contractor shall arrange for pickup within 24 hours of the scheduled collection, or issue a credit against the invoice for any missed pickup(s). The University shall have the choice of the pickup or the credit. f. Locations: The successful bidder must coordinate delivery and installation of containers with the Director, Environmental Services or a duly authorized agent of the University.
