The City of Springfield School Department (“City”), on behalf of the Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership (“SEZP”), is seeking to lease space in order to operate its Discovery Polytech Early College High School (“DHS”) for Grades 9 through 12. The City desires to lease approximately 20,000 - 30,000 square feet of space that can accommodate a minimum of 20 educational classrooms and a minimum of 20 specialty office and storage spaces. Proposals may include finished/turnkey space or plans for the Proposer to build-out space in order to accommodate the needs of the DHS as set forth herein. The site location is expected to be configurable to house a minimum of 300 occupants. The site location must have close proximity to Springfield businesses and industry for internships and readily available access to PVTA stops for transit to and from DHS and local colleges. The City values a modern approach to the configuration of the school space, with a setting that encourages quality education and creates an open learning environment
