The Town of Buchanan and Buchanan Fire/EMS Department are seeking proposals from professional consultants who may be interested in providing a review of the existing organization and operations of fire protection and emergency medical services being provided by the Buchanan Fire/EMS Department in the Town of Buchanan. It is the ultimate intent of this process to allow consultants to provide the Town of Buchanan and Buchanan Fire/EMS Department with a review of existing operations, facilities, equipment and resources and develop recommendations that will help meet current needs of the community in the short term and to plan for continual growth of the community into the future. In addition, the part-time Fire/EMS Chief is planning on retiring within the next year and the Town believes this is a critical position to evaluate moving forward as the new Chief would work with the Town and Department to implement those recommendations.
