The City of Rochester owns and is responsible for maintenance of surface stormwater best management practices (BMPs) throughout the City. These practices receive runoff from bothe private and public developments. While the City has performed maintenance of some of these practices in the past, some have gone unmaintained for over a decade and require full rehabilitation. While maintenance easements exist to many of these pracitcess, some are overgrown with trees and vegetation and need to be reestablished. The City is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to hire a contractor to rehabilitate the surface stormwater management practices, with varying degrees of complexity. The City wishes to have work completed by December 31, 2025, however, if work is prosecuted in a diligent, efficient manner but more time is needed, additional time will be considered. The City will provide an electronic data file showing the location of each of the stormwater BMPs along with permanent easements for maintenance of the BMPs.
