The City of Waltham, School Department is seeking a partner to provide and manage Early Childhood Programming for children ranging from 2.9 – 6-year-olds at Waltham High School (554 Lexington St.) in accordance with the following: Hours of Operation The selected Vendor and the School Department will determine whether this program will be half day or full day services. *Below are the hours of operation for Pre-School currently being held in Waltham Public Schools. • AM Session 9:00 a.m. - 11:15 a.m. • PM Session 12:00 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. Curriculum A standardized Early Childhood curriculum must be available for all employees to follow. The curriculum should clearly delineate learning goals for students. Where Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks address the content of a particular field of study, the curriculum should align to the Frameworks. Further, the curriculum should align to that of the Waltham Public schools. Employees should be held accountable by the partnering program to follow the prescribed curriculum. Programming Daily activities should include choice for students. The educational programs and activities should address health and wellness, fine arts, character and leadership skills, sports, fitness, and academic assistance and enrichment. Waltham High School CTE Early Education program will be working alongside and shadowing this Early Childhood Program as part of their Curriculum. This scheduling will be determined by the CTE Instructor and your company.
