The Department of Corrections is seeking proposals for phases 400 – 700 for design and investigation services for the Cedar Housing Unit and basement. This work is to include field investigation to determine why the existing floor settlement at various locations where the pool was filled in with structural geofoam topped with 6” +/- pea stone and 5” concrete slab w/6x6 W2.1xW2.1 WWF. Design for repair of the slab is to be included. Secondly, the work is also to include field investigation of the basement of the Cedar Housing Unit to determine where / why water is infiltrating the basement and design for repairs. Repairs are also to include several concrete columns that are spalling. Drawings of the pool infill have been provided for reference. PSC’s are to include the following in your proposal: 50 and 90% reviews with probable cost estimate for phases 400 and 500. The PSC will be responsible for leading the construction progress meetings which will take place twice a month one on site, one on Teams for the duration of the construction. Meeting minutes will be required to be sent out within 5 business days after the meeting. Construction testing and field investigation shall be included as a reimbursable expense. If required, LARA plan reviews are to be included as a reimbursable expense.
