St. Charles County Government Facilities Management Department is seeking bids for masonry repair, tuckpointing and sealing at the Criminal Justice Center located at 301 N. Second St., St. Charles, MO 63301. This project will focus on the North East portion of the building. Map provided. None of the work being performed is inside the secure jail area, however, security must be kept in mind when working on the roof. General Conditions: The Contractor must comply with all Federal and State Employment / Labor regulations including those from the U.S. “Occupational Safety and Health Administration”. The Contractor must provide all applicable Insurance Certificates to the County upon the award of the bid. The Contractor must specifically claim and include any exclusions or deviations from the bid specifications with the proposal submitted. The Contractor shall work Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm. Any changes to the specified work schedule are subject to approval by the Project Manager at least 2 days before the change occurs. The Contractor agrees all workers on site may be subject to searches of their person and/or searches of their personal belongings including but not limited to tool boxes, lunch boxes, bags, etc. The wearing of ID badges, clearly visible, is required for all workers. Driver’s license, or other approved ID, will be exchanged for an ID badge during working hours. Contact or fraternization between workers and inmates has zero tolerance and is strictly enforced. Any worker having contact or fraternizing with any inmates will be removed from the site immediately. The Contractor agrees that they will immediately report any lost tools or other items to a security shift supervisor and the project manager. The Contractor agrees that workers will report security concerns to a corrections officer or security shift supervisor. The Contractor agrees that any worker found taking photos of inmates while on site will be immediately removed from the premises and prohibited from returning. Photos of any kind must be authorized by St Charles County Department of Corrections Administration. The Contractor shall notify the project manager of any deficiencies in block or building materials that may impact project cost. The Contractor shall have all necessary licenses (that shall be current and maintained during the project) with the County and State of Missouri
