Mowing • Cool season turf shall be mowed with a rotary type mower at a height of 3.5”-4.5”, depending on season and site conditions. • Warm season turf shall be mowed with a rotary type mower at a height of 2”-3” depending on season and site conditions. • Grass clippings shall remain on lawn unless they are excessive to the degree of looking unattractive or causing damage to the turf or site. Weekly Trimming • Trim around all obstacles to include but not limited to signposts and equipment. • Trim all areas not reachable with a mower. Weekly Edging • Power edging of all hard surfaces shall occur to maintain a neat appearance, to include the curbline and gutters. • Bed edges shall be maintained with a tucked or cut edge to retain mulch/pine needles. Every other week Blowing • Blowing of all hard surfaces impacted by landscape maintenance shall be blown with a power blower at each visit. • Crews will not blow between parked cars. Weekly Weed Control • Pre and postemergence herbicide, as well as hand weeding, will be used to control weeds in sidewalk cracks, maintained flower beds, and along curbline and gutters. • Application of all herbicides will be by or under the supervision of a person licensed by the State of North Carolina to apply herbicides. Inspected weekly. Treated and pulled as needed. Natural Areas • Large sticks and branches will be removed. Weekly • Weed treatments should be applied approximately 3 times per service period • Inspected and reapplied as needed to maintain area. Approx. 3 times per service area. Insects and Diseases • Observe and treat as needed to maintain health for plants. • Treatments used will be by or under the supervision of a person licensed by the State of North Carolina to apply pesticides. Inspect weekly, apply as needed. Perennials & Plant Fertilization • Plantings shall be fertilized on an appropriate schedule in the Spring to maintain health and color. Annually
