The Contractor shall be responsible for certifying that all milling, overlay activities, and hauling is done in accordance with the Arizona Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction current Edition, including all addenda. 4.1. Hauling Millings 4.1.1. Milled material shall become property of the Department. Depending upon each specific job, the Department will designate if millings will be hauled to designated stockpiles in each district or if they will be directed to a place along the side of the road. 4.1.2. The Department may choose to have millings hauled and will include this information when issuing a Task Assignment. 4.1.3. Haul Millings – If millings will be hauled from the project site, the cost to haul millings will be paid per loaded cubic yard/mile from the project site to the haul milling location. 4.2. Disposal 4.2.1. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to provide for adequate disposal in approved landfills of any cleaning fluids, excess material and all empty containers. Venting of pavement marking materials on state property is allowed if approved by the Department. Cleanup of all vented material shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.
