The NC Department of Public Safety invites experienced design firms to submit qualifications to provide design, biding, construction administration, and closeout services for a new Emergency Vehicle Operations Center (EVOC) to include a 14-acre driver training facility to fulfill a need for vehicle training for Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) programs, in-service programs, and emergency response programs for agencies across the State of North Carolina. The driving track incorporates numerous roadway elements to model urban response scenarios. The driving track and skid pad will be located at the Center for Safer Schools in Montgomery County. Full design services are required and will include all submittal requirements for the State Construction Office for all submittal phases, Cost Estimates updated at each phase with each SCO submittal, with Technical Specifications edited with Masterworks in Masterspec 2006, bidding services, construction administration services, record drawings in both AutoCAD (latest version) and Revit, and project closeout as defined by the State Construction Manual (Twelfth Ed.) dated March of 2019.
