It is the intent of the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) to solicit bids from qualified and reliable Contractors for the purpose of entering into a contract for Pest Control Services at the SCDE Headquarters Building the West Columbia area. While there is no existing pest issue, the selected pest control contractor must recognize the unique environmental factors associated with our location at the farmer’s market. Surrounded by food sources and open fields, conditions can periodically create an ideal environment for unwanted insects and pests. The vendor must possess expertise in identifying, managing, and preventing pest-related concerns specific to these agricultural and food-adjacent settings, ensuring effective and proactive control measures. This solicitation represents the first formal request for Pest Control Services for this facility. As there is no incumbent provider, historical service data is of little consequence. Therefore, vendors are responsible for performing a comprehensive assessment to ensure their pricing, staff and processes address and can meet all requirements specified in this solicitation document.
