• Replace existing fareboxes in revenue service vehicles and provide electronic fareboxes on future revenue vehicles that o Accept all US currency, encoded electronic magnetic stripped media or other temporary/paper media, smart cards, RFID, credit/debit cards, NFC for mobile ticketing and optionally wearables. o Issue temporary/paper media. • Revenue transaction and fare use data from all sources (farebox or mobile ticketing) will be consolidated into a single system. • Integrate with the onboard systems, including computer aided dispatch system (CAD) for the purpose of obtaining (at a minimum) bus operator log-in and work assignment. • Offeror must provide needed infrastructure to support VRT’s vision for open-loop contactless payments that follow international EMV standards for EMV credit or debit cards, branded VRT smartcards, or smart devices to pay for transit travel. • Provide smart cards?
