2.1.The State of Vermont is seeking pricing for removeable beach and water access pathway material and accessories. 2.2.The goal is a pathway that can be installed and removed by the owner based on seasonal or short-term needs resulting in ADA compliant access over turf or beach sand when existing grade is suitable, and the product is installed appropriately. Beach/water access pathways shall be able to be installed directly into the water and remain in place to allow users to access swimmable water depths. 2.3.The product shall be: 2.3.1. An inorganic woven material; 2.3.2. No single point of failure in the fabric (can be holed without unravelling or separating); 2.3.3. Non-slip; 2.3.4. Available in minimum 60-inch seamless width; 2.3.5. Manufactured in rolls that can be cut to custom lengths or provided in predetermined lengths capable or being joined in a secure manner that will not separate under normal use. (Products that leave a void between joined sections on route of travel will not be acceptable); 2.3.6. Include a method of anchoring in a variety of substrates that will prevent lateral movement, raised edges and movement by wave and wake action when installed in the water. 2.3.7. Be available in green, blue or earth tone brown; 2.3.8. Have a proven track record of heavy public use. 2.3.9. Capable of withstanding crossing traffic of wheeled beach maintenance equipment (small tractor, UTVs) 2.3.10. Resistant to UV degradation.
