The Consultant shall furnish all services as required in order to analyze the existing trash capture BMPs already installed in the City and also the potential candidate project locations in the CMTC DMP. Consultant is encouraged to and will be evaluated on modifications and completeness of the scope of work and ability to demonstrate innovative, advanced, and well-thought-out methodologies that the City may not have specifically identified in the scope of work. The scope of services shall generally include the following: A. Using the GIS tool and methodology developed by Rick Engineering, determine the volume of trash being removed by the existing trash capture BMP’s currently installed in the City. There are currently 41 full-capture trash devices and 397 partial-capture devices. This analysis will determine the remaining trash load that is required to be reduced. a. Prepare a technical memo summarizing this analysis. b. Workshop with the City to choose 15 candidate BMPs for further analysis in order to satisfy the remaining trash load reduction requirements. B. Analyze 15 candidate BMPs out of the 31 identified in the CMTC DMP. a. Prepare 30% plans for these regional and subregional BMPs in order to determine feasibility. These plans should include existing right-of-way and property lines, topography, existing utilities, approximate size and location of the structural device, preliminary cost estimates, as well as any other relevant information affecting the potential installation of these devices. b. Analyze the volume of trash removed by each of these potential devices and provide a recommendation for the 10 best candidate devices for satisfying the trash load reduction requirements. C. Prepare 90% plans for the selected 10 devices. a. Plans should include detailed site design, hydrology calculations, device specifications, and cost estimates. D. Prepare 100% plans for the selected 10 devices. a. Consultant shall provide final design plans, specifications, and cost estimate per City Standards suitable for competitive bidding.
