A. General Scope of Work 1. The Authority will make available to the Consultant all reports, plans, specifications, design criteria, data and existing conditions of equipment and buildings related to this project. Where available, an electronic version of the documents will be provided. The Consultant shall acknowledge that any drawings provided by the Authority to the Consultant are not “as-built” or record drawings and may not reflect that which is to be found in the field. 2. Review all reports, plans, specifications, design criteria, data and existing conditions of equipment related to this project. 3. The Consultant shall visit and inspect the site to become familiar with the Scope of Work and the site conditions. 4. Prepare a draft and final technical design report that includes the items listed in the Scope of Work, identification of existing conditions, presentation of design alternatives and proposed basis of design. The design report should also include recommendations for the design criteria and engineering cost estimates. 5. Prepare preliminary (60%) plans and specifications for review by the Authority. a. Prepare civil/site, structural, electrical, and any additional drawings necessary to construct the project, sequence the construction, and maintain operations throughout the project. b. Prepare technical specification sections for the project following current Construction Specification Institute (CSI) formatting. The Authority will prepare the Division 1 specifications with the exception of the summary of work, measurement and payment, and construction sequencing which shall be prepared by the consultant. c. Prepare a preliminary Engineer’s Estimate. 6. Upon completion of the 60% design review, incorporate any and all comments made by the Authority and prepare preliminary (90%) plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimate. Submit to the Authority these documents for a detailed engineering review by the Authority. 7. Upon completion of the 90% design review, incorporate any and all comments made by the Authority and prepare final (100%) plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimate. The Consultant shall submit to the Authority bid-ready documents for public advertisement for review and comments. 8. Upon completion of the 100% design review, incorporate any and all comments made by the Authority and prepare final bid documents for public advertisement including signed and sealed plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimate. The Authority will advertise and distribute. 9. The Authority will provide the Front-End Specifications which shall not be revised by the Consultant. 10. The design shall meet all Federal, State, and local code requirements and shall be capable of being approved by respective sub-code officials with minimum revisions.
