This project involves comprehensive improvements to public infrastructure within the project limits. The scope includes the removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and gutters to enhance pedestrian and vehicular accessibility and safety. ADA-compliant curb ramps will be constructed to ensure full accessibility in accordance with current local, federal and state standards. Pavement improvements will include localized pavement replacement, full-depth repairs where necessary, and the application of a slurry seal to extend pavement life and improve surface quality. Traffic signage and striping will be installed or replaced to enhance traffic control and roadway visibility, along with updated pavement markings to reflect new configurations or improvements. Additional work will include the installation or modification of storm drain inlets, manholes, piping and biofiltration basins to improve drainage capacity and prevent flooding. Stormwater pollution prevention measures will be implemented during construction to comply with environmental regulations and minimize runoff impacts. The project will also involve demolition of existing deteriorated or non-compliant infrastructure, installation of new or replacement electrical conduits and street lighting to improve public safety and visibility, and the adjustment of surface utility covers to match new grades. Temporary traffic control measures will be implemented throughout the construction period to ensure the safety of the public and workers. Overall, the project target is to improve the infrastructure functionality, improve pedestrian and vehicular safety, and bring the corridor into compliance with modern accessibility and environmental standards.
