The STATE is interested in receiving bids for the following: A. VEHICLE ACQUISITION. The State of Hawaii, Department of Health currently has over forty-five (45) vehicles of various types which will need to be replaced. Therefore, the STATE is interested in receiving bids for the replacement of up to twelve (12) vehicles. However, the STATE may request to lease more than twelve (12) vehicles depending on the STATE’s needs and availability of funds. Submit unit prices for proposed vehicles. B. LEASING. The STATE would like to consider one-time payment leasing options with a span of three (3) years. Terms and conditions must be provided in detail including: 1. Max allowance of miles to accrue during the term of the lease. 2. Penalties for exceeding the mileage limits. 3. One-time lease payment and details of calculations. 4. Penalties and grace periods for late/ missed payments. 5. Rules regarding early terminations of the lease. 6. Reserved rights allowed by the STATE to change vehicle lease terms, including but not limited to, increasing, or decreasing the number of vehicles, and changing the type of one or more vehicles. 7. Customer Services that include a local point of contact and additional customer assistance provided during the leased period. 8. End of lease term options such as extensions, purchase options, and/ or exchange of vehicle for new lease. 9. Maintenance Package for leased vehicles. This is due to certain restrictions, as the STATE currently does not have a fleet maintenance program. 10. The State of Hawaii will not consent to indemnity or arbitration.
