The Texas Historical Commission (THC) issues this Invitation for Bid (IFB) to solicit bids from qualified firms to demolish existing entry door, concrete patio, and partition at Visitor Center, demolish concrete patio at staff residence, install new entry door with sidelight, new concrete patio and permeable tree root area landscaping, pathway lights, and electrical connections for Reception area at Visitor Center, install new concrete patio at staff residence, as well as a bid alternate to install screened in porch at staff residence. The site is located at the Bush Family Home State Historic Site 1412 W Ohio Ave., Midland, Texas 79701. • General. Provide labor, materials, tools, machinery, equipment, appliances, fixtures, devices, and services necessary to demolish existing entry door, concrete patio, and partition at Visitor Center, demolish concrete patio at staff residence, install new entry door with sidelight, new concrete patio and permeable tree root area landscaping, pathway lights, and electrical connections for Reception area at Visitor Center, install new concrete patio at staff residence, as well as a bid alternate to install screened in porch at staff residence. • Standards, Codes, Permits. ○ All work shall be performed in strict compliance with all applicable Local and State codes. ○ Bush Family Home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. All construction and repair methods shall be in accordance with the Department of Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. • Work Included. The Work Includes the following systems, equipment, and services: ○ Concrete slab demolition. ○ Concrete slab installation. ○ Exterior door demolition. ○ Exterior door installation. ○ Return work area to pre-installation conditions. Clean and properly dispose of refuse. ○ Provide all necessary equipment to perform the scope of work listed above. ○ See Attachment A (Separate Attachment).
