Design 1. Field Investigation of Area • Review existing drainage areas with the Town. • Catalog known areas of concern include secondary structures that drain smaller areas. • Conduct survey/inventory to document existing conditions. • Prepare a summary of findings of the initial assessment. 2. Watershed Analysis and Study • Using information from the field investigation and collecting readily available information on the area, consultant will review information to determine quality and adequacy for the analysis. • Consultant will develop a base map incorporating all data. If suitable data is not available, consultant will make recommendations to the Town for (if any) additional data that may be required to complete the work. • An analysis will be performed using the information to review the flows and volumes of the study area and determine where there are over toppings or failures of the existing system identified in the field investigation. • Methodology used will depend on information collected and consultant preference; however, the Town of Scotia will have final say on the acceptability of method and models used for study. • Specific attention and comparison of identified locations of concern by the Town will be measured versus the results of the calculations. Consultant will provide results in a written report.
