The Dallas County Hospital District requests proposals for a Sheet Picker for an existing 42”, two-roll thermal fluid ironer. The successful vendor will be responsible for supplying equipment and services conforming to the items described in the following specifications: Sheet Picker Unit will remove individual pieces of flatwork (flat sheets, draw sheets) from baskets and “present” the pieces to operators at nearby feeder/ironer. Unit will operate with flatwork partially conditioned, as is currently the practice at the Parkland facility. Sheets can be loaded into the unit via either carts or from slings from the existing overhead rail system. Electrical: 208/60/3 Unit is to operate in fully automatic mode i.e., it will pick as long as there are sheets to be separated and stop when the supply is substantially exhausted or there is no room on the discharge side. The picking head mechanism is to pick in varying locations throughout the cart, either by movement of the picking arm or of the cart. Equipped with safety equipment (bilingual safety labels, emergency stop buttons etc.) to prevent injury to any personnel standing near or operating the equipment.
