Scope of Work The City of Redmond is soliciting bids to provide local fire alarm monitoring, runner service, fire alarm testing and maintenance, and intrusion alarm monitoring and maintenance at selected City locations. Please reference “Attachment A, Bid Submittal Sheet” for a complete list of fire alarm equipment and intrusion alarm systems listed by site. Alarm Testing: Suppliers will conform to the general requirements of NFPA 72 and Redmond Standards 9.0 for alarm testing, maintenance, and runner service. The following sites are outside of the Redmond City Limits: Fire Stations 13, 14, 18, Trilogy (12230 Trilogy Parkway), Novelty Hill Operations (22515 NE Market Street), Novelty Hill Sewage (23933 Novelty Hill Road), Watershed (218th Ave NE/Novelty Hill Road), and Perrigo Park (9011 196 Avenue NE). Sites outside of the city limits are to comply with requirements established by King County. 1. The supplier will ensure that all City of Redmond fire alarm systems listed in Attachment A – Bid Submittal Sheet, shall comply with the requirements of central station service in accordance with NFPA 72. 2. The supplier will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of any new or upgraded monitoring and alarm system. 3. The supplier will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of system components as approved for all systems. 4. The supplier will be responsible for providing adequate staffing for all fire alarm monitoring, runner service, testing, maintenance, and intrusion alarm monitoring services. Redmond staff will not assist with testing procedures and will only be available to provide facility access. 5. The City anticipates monthly invoicing for services. 7. Emergency maintenance shall be performed as needed with advice forwarded to the City on-site contact as soon thereafter as possible. 8. The successful bidder receiving the award will be required to provide a certificate of insurance naming the City as an additional insured party. 9. The facilities’ standard hours are 8:00am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Sites that have nonstandard hours will be identified following this award. Confidence testing will be conducted starting 7:00 AM. 10. Scheduling: inspections, ordinary maintenance and testing shall be coordinated in advance with the City on-site contact; these contact names will be provided following this award. 11. Additional sites may be added to this agreement over time as needed. Pricing for additions shall be based on the prices submitted in the original proposal, or the most recent pricing structure accepted by the City. Any equipment that may need to be purchased by the City for repairs and maintenance shall be non-proprietary and approved in advance unless an emergency situation exists.
