2.1 Pre-Installation Assessment - Conduct a site survey to determine the best route for the fiber drop, considering property access and aesthetic concerns. - Identify existing aerial infrastructure (utility poles, clearance, attachment points). - Verify customer premise requirements (entry point, wall box location, grounding needs). - Obtain necessary permits from the City of Palo Alto if required. 2.2 Material Handling & Preparation - The City will provide the materials as per “Appendix 1” -Labor, consumables, and other hardware, tools, equipment required for completing the work shall be provided by the contractor. - Ensure all necessary hardware is available, including: - Fiber clamps - Span clamps and hooks - Drop wire attachments - Terminal enclosures - Contractor shall confirm the fiber drop length based on the site survey.
