Location #1 – Paul Ave. to the east (1 mile) in Watertown* o Roughly 300 trees marked with orange stripe at about eye level. • Primarily dead ash but other trees marked as well. • Varying DBH size trees. o Marked trees are on both the north and south side of the limestone bike trail and along horse trail. • The horse trail runs parallel to the bike trail on the south side and has some trees marked that can only be seen while on the horse trail • The targeted area ends at the wooden bridge. • *Also, one cluster of dead ash trees about 200 feet west of Oak Shore Dr. on the south side of the bike trail (marked in orange circle on map). • This site is outside of the location listed above but should be included in the bid. o Chip/mulch what can be done and haul bigger chunks off site. • Chips/mulching can be evenly dispersed out in woods and no large piles of wood chips may be left. Be mindful to not spread chips on the limestone bike trail, adjacent horse trail, trail edges that are mowed, and the surrounding property lines. • The bridge (marked on map) is not suitable for large equipment/truck travel (*weight rating ~5 ton and roughly 8‐10 feet wide). • The terrain for the first ¼ mile east of Paul Ave. would not be suitable for dispersing wood chips due to the steep sides along the bike trail. After this section, the terrain is less aggressive, and woodchips can be easily dispersed. o Low‐cut stumps flush with ground as low as possible. Bid Alternate #1 – Willow Dr. to Brown Rd.
