The Department of Transportation (HDOT), Airports, is requesting proposals to design and construct a new Parking Structure at Ualena Street at the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Oahu (“Project”). The Project is intended to consolidate existing employee surface parking lots currently located at the future site of the Diamond Head Extension Facility. The new parking structure will provide replacement and future growth of employee parking stalls in addition to providing stalls for long-term public parking. There are four employee surface parking lots on the site of the future Diamond Head Extension Development. A fifth employee surface parking lot for Hawaiian Airlines is currently located on the Project site at the intersection of Ualena Street and Paiea Street. The new parking structure at Ualena Street will serve to consolidate these five parking lots, include expansion for projected growth and provide long-term parking for the public.
