A primary objective of this project is to provide SCAG with a mapping and location dataset for use in the development of SCAG travel demand modeling networks and the development of spatially associating point-based and zonal-based socio-economic attributes to SCAG integrated land use database. In particular, the link level geometry and attributes of the network other than the local functional class will be referenced to develop SCAG travel demand modeling highway network, and the network including the local functional class will be used in the SCAG travel demand models to measure accessibility. The geometry and attributes are referenced to create and update existing SCAG travel demand modeling highway network. After the link level geometry and attributes of SCAG travel demand modeling network are updated by SCAG staff, the updated SCAG travel demand modeling highway network is considered SCAG property and will be disseminated by request to support other SCAG projects, sub-regional model development and external data requests from public, private sectors and research institutes. Another objective of this project is to provide SCAG with a comprehensive address locator tool that takes SCAG address-based socio-economic data as an input to generate point-based spatial data. Such addressbased socio-economic datasets include employment, household, person, building information. Once the geocoding and data processing is complete, the integrated socio-economic land use database including parcel level attributes will be the basis for the SCAG 2028 RTP/SCS growth forecast development.
