4.0 The Successful bidder must develop a complete Insecticide and Fungicide program or IPM program based on need or prevention. Please include a section describing your experience with Integrated Pest Management and what your project will be needed. Please include optional costs. 5.0 Mowing. All UIL fields will be mowed at 1” once per week with the reel type mower specified in the Equipment section. 6.0 10 Soil Samples will be taken from each field. The fertilization program will be partially based on this fertilization. It will also be based on the grass needs and activities required by the school. For example, a liquid fertilizer application may be requested to prepare for a school event. Or additional fertilizer may be required to prepare the grass for the playing season. 7.0 Fertilization will be performed at least 10x per year. • Each event will have at least 1 lb. of N or more per 1000 sq. ft. It will also have appropriate amts of P, K and other elements based on the soil samples and the needs of the plants. Please attach a strategy on this in the submission package. • The above listed fertilizer spreader or sprayer will be used to apply the fertilizer. This will ensure even application. 8.0 Weed control will be maintained at a high level of expectation. • No weeds should grow to a flowering or seed production phase. • To prevent the establishment of weeds 4 pre-emergent type herbicide applications will be scheduled and applied strategically. Please provide a proposed schedule. • Follow up selective herbicides will be used to reduce and minimize populations. • Very difficult weeds like ones in the Nutsedge family or Goose Grass and so on will be closely monitored and populations will remain under control.
