A. Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Collect and analyze data to provide updated information on the natural hazards affecting each participating jurisdiction to include but not limited to: location, extent/magnitude, frequency, and probability of future occurrences. Provide updated information on the historic and potential impacts and losses associated with hazard events for each jurisdiction. Provide a summary of each jurisdictions vulnerability to each hazard to include but not limited to: an assessment of impacts on existing and future buildings, infrastructure, critical facilities, and vulnerable populations; a summary of the greatest risk and vulnerability for each jurisdiction; and a summary of significant events that have occurred in each jurisdiction since the last plan. An assessment of National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) insured structures by type (residential, commercial, institutional, etc.) within the jurisdiction that have been repetitively damaged by floods. An assessment of climate change impacts to natural hazard risk and vulnerability Compliance with all other applicable FEMA Hazard Mitigation Plan requirements Preparation of maps, charts, and figures as appropriate and where data is available for all of the above tasks. B. Mitigation Strategy Development Assist CMCOG and participating jurisdictions with updating existing mitigation goals and strategies and developing new strategies based on the results of the risk and vulnerability assessment. Assist with updating each jurisdictions existing authorities, policies, programs, and resources related to hazard mitigation, and their ability to expand on and improve these tools. Provide information on potential funding sources for implementing mitigation strategies. C. Stakeholder Engagement Participate in stakeholder advisory committee meetings by providing CMCOG and participating jurisdictions with technical support and expertise related to the risk and vulnerability assessment and development of mitigation strategies. At least six (6) bimonthly stakeholder meetings are anticipated. Additional virtual meetings or consultation may be required with individual jurisdictions as needed and will be negotiated with the successful RESPONDENT. Assist with public engagement activities throughout the project timeline to include development, deployment, and analysis of an online public survey, and facilitating no less than two (2) public stakeholder meetings. Any additional meetings that may be needed will be negotiated with the successful RESPONDENT.
