1. Owner to utilize Henry County Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor for a stipulated or lump sum contract. 2. All construction shall be in accordance with the most current Virginia Residential Code, Energy Star, and Local Codes. The Building Official has the role of final decision maker in regards to items related to the building code. 3. Prototype plans are provided by the Owner as a basis for obtaining bids and assumes no responsibility for the prototype plans. The Contractor assumes all responsibility for the design and its conformance with the Virginia Residential Code. Minor deviations from the provided design may be made but only with prior written approval from the Owner. 4. Energy efficiency shall comply with Chapter 11 in the Virginia Residential Code. 5. Bidder shall furnish and install all labor and materials for complete and finished work. 6. Residence locations (property corners, building corners, and footers) will be staked once by a licensed land surveyor at the owner's expense. Additional stakeout shall be staked by a licensed land surveyor at the contractor's expense.
