UNIFORM PANTS Navy blue, permanent pressed (Class-A and Class-B use) UNIFORM SHIRTS: Navy blue, short-sleeved, three (3), and long-sleeved, one (1), permanent pressed (long-sleeved required for tattoo covering if applicable) BELT: Black, 1 ¼ or 1 ½ inches, plain or basket weave (Velcro or buckle-type) SHOES: Police duty boots, polish-able material SOCKS: Black (Five (5) pair recommended) TIE: Black clip on. End of tie must not be more than 3”, or less than 1” from top of belt TIE BAR: Polished silver or required by department NAME TAG: Black letters/polished silver PATCHES: Golden West College Police Academy, available at GWC bookstore; no breast badge; Sponsored recruits will wear agency patches HEADGEAR: Navy blue, or as required by department HAT BADGE: Academy “Recruit” hat badge or as required by department JACKET (optional): Black police jacket EQUIPMENT BELT: Sam Browne” style basket weave (or as assigned by department) HANDCUFFS: Peerless, S & W, or ASP brand (include long pen-shaped handcuff key), and case BATON: Straight stick (26” in length or as assigned by department) HOLSTER: Black basket weave designed for your weapon (Level two or three security) MISCELLANEOUS: Four (4) double snap keepers, silent key holder, double-magazine holder, and baton ring
