9.1 GENERAL CRAWLING INSECTS AND RODENT CONTROL: Services include all school buildings and certain other facilities (described in Section 10) for general crawling insects and rodents, specifically Cockroaches, Spiders (except Brown Recluse), Silverfish, Ants (except Pharoah and Carpenter), Weevils, Crickets, Sow Bugs, Pill Bugs, Scorpions, Mice and Rats. 9.2 TERMITE CONTROL: Termite control will normally be authorized on an as-needed spot-treat basis. Pricing for termite control shall be quoted on a "per linear foot" basis. (Example: If treatment along an outside wall requires applications on both sides of the foundation, the charge would be twice the linear measurement of the wall). All termite treatment shall be performed in the evening after students and teachers have left the facility. 9.3 CALL BACKS: The pest control contractor shall have qualified personnel available to respond to unlimited call backs for additional treatments within 24 hours of notification by school authorities. The contractor must be prepared to service areas as often as school personnel deem necessary, up to once per week, until said personnel deem the problem remedied. 9.4 BED BUGS: Bed bug services request will require an inspection of identified location for infestation. If infestation is found, a quote shall be provided to the Facilities Point of Contact for treatment of affected space. 9.5 FLYING INSECTS: Flying insect services requests will require treatment as needed. Flying insects include fruit flies, house flies, wasps, hornets, and other similar forms for Inside treatment only. 9.6 OTHER PESTS: Although not required as part of this RFP response, the ability of the contractor to provide additional pest capturing and removal will be a plus, but not a criterion for the evaluation of the applicant. Other pests may include Snakes, Squirrels, Bats, Racoons, Opossums, Skunks, Birds, Wasp Nest, and other similar species that can create unsanitary and disruption to a facility.
