Consultant may be involved in the development of projects with various types of structures, including but not limited to bridges, culverts and earth retaining structures. Consultant must be familiar and demonstrate experience in current County, State, and Federal specifications and procedures and when to apply each. Consultant may also be required to perform independent checks of structure plans, specifications, and quantities developed by County staff. An Independent Design Check must consist of at least complete calculations with computer analysis to ensure proposed layout, details, structure capacity, and constructability all conform to current County, State and Federal design standards as well as the recommendations in the Foundation Report, the Project Report, the Environmental document as well as any other relative design standards.
