Awarded contractor shall be responsible for the following: a. Managing a pool of up to 500 substitute teachers and paraprofessionals, with the capability to fulfill up to 120 daily substitute requests. b. Recruit, interview, select, train, and hire all substitutes as well as deploy them to the District on an “as requested” basis. c. Employing effective recruitment strategies to maintain an adequate pool of qualified substitutes to include conducting thorough background checks and eligibility screenings in compliance with all applicable employment laws and district requirements. Screenings shall include, at a minimum, the following: ● Ensure substitutes have valid credentials such as degrees and certification as required by the Texas State Department of Education. ● Ensure substitutes have Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance cards. ● Provide background checks of its substitutes prior to hire. ● Email copies of the substitute’s Fingerprint Clearance Card and Substitute Certificate to the District prior to substitute arrival for services.
