The desire is to contract with one firm or team to complete design services for the remaining elements identified within the Paradise Park Schematic Plan, including landscape architecture, architecture, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services. The selected consultant will work primarily with the City of Thomasville planning staff, who will provide background information, provide guidance on the review process of City Departments and facilitate interaction with the City’s Parks and Recreation, Engineering, Public Works, and Building Departments. Task 1: Project Coordination The selected Consultant will work primarily with the City of Thomasville Planning staff, who will provide background information and work closely with the Consultant on deliverable reviews, provide guidance on the process, and help coordinate interaction with the City’s leadership and relevant departments, committees, and stakeholders. 1.1 Project Kick-Off The selected Consultant should expect a project kick-off meeting with City staff to discuss and refine the scope, process, communication methods, and expectations during the project. The kick-off meeting will be an opportunity to discuss major issues facing the City and define project priorities. This initial step will involve a meeting with Planning staff (along with other City representatives as needed) to organize steps and identify stakeholders. A preliminary outline of the project management plan will be presented for discussion and feedback. 1.2 Project Management Plan The Consultant will prepare a final project management plan based on the refined scope with detailed tasks, objectives, and responsibilities. The plan must include a detailed schedule identifying key milestones and deliverables, including the expected number of meetings with staff and other stakeholders. 1.3 General Project Management Throughout the planning process, the Consultant is expected to perform general project management duties, including maintaining the project management plan and schedule, regularly submitting invoices and progress reports, and assisting the City with quarterly grant program reporting.
