1. Analyze Current Zoning Ordinance and Planning and Development Chapter. The consultant will work closely with City staff to produce an analysis of the existing code, including evaluating existing zoning districts and overlays, adding in appropriate zoning language for new uses, districts, overlays, regulations, etc. 2. Analyze the existing Sign Ordinance (Chapter 54) and provide feedback and proposed language regarding sign dimensions, design requirements, and other provisions as appropriate. 3. Review the Comprehensive Plan. The consultant will identify goals, recommendations, and implementation strategies, to ensure the new code is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and other applicable studies/plans. 4. Help with Public Outreach. The consultant will assist City staff with public outreach initiatives and will attend all public hearings/public outreach events. 5. Draft the Document. The consultant will prepare drafts of the ordinance revisions, including graphics for review by staff, culminating in a final version to be presented to and acted upon by the Planning Commission and City Council.
