LOBSTER TRAP TAG: The vendor will provide injection molded tags constructed of a grade elastomer that meets the requirements below: Tags must be manufactured within the United States of America. Material must have at least a two-year UV package. Material must remain unbreakable in below freezing temperatures and is impervious to salt water at any temperature. Tags must be suitable for adverse marine environment and be able to withstand long exposure to sun and ocean water. Material must be able to be hot foil stamped or laser etched. Tags need to display the recycle code number on the tag. QUANTITY: The vendor will provide 48,900 lobster tags in First Batch and up to 1,800 lobster tags in Second Batch. This includes colored tags with printing. Tags are delivered only in quantities specified (no shortages or overages) unless otherwise authorized in advance by the California Department of Fish & Wildlife (CDFW). Payment will not be made for unauthorized overruns. TRAP TAG SIZE AND SHAPE: The tags will be 4.25 inches x 3 inches (H x W) x 0.15-inch-thick tag body. GROMMET: Each tag must have a molded grommet built into the top of the tag with a 1/2-inch diameter hole for connecting to lobster trap.
