• The City of Gainesville – Dept. of Water Resources proposes this project for the purpose of changing out an estimated 3787 meters, at various locations. • The meter installation must meet all of the City of Gainesville Minimum Specifications. • The vendor will provide the City with a weekly work schedule and the meters and materials will be issued based on the vendor’s work schedule. • The vendor will be responsible to return all old meters to the City of Gainesville. All inventory will be issued from, 1006 S. Bradford Street Ext, Gainesville, GA 30501. All old meters will be brought to 1006 S. Bradford Street Ext, Gainesville, GA 30501. • The vendor will be required to use Nexgen software to complete service request for each meter change. The existing Service request will be in Nexgen and the contractor will pull up the service request for each location and complete the service request by scanning the barcode on the new meter and uploading it into Nexgen. The City of Gainesville will provide training on the Software. Meter Changes must be entered weekly into Nexgen. • Meter changes in a cycle cannot be made the same week that we are billing the cycle, as it causes double billing of the location of the meter change. City will schedule what cycle the contractor can work in, on these occasions. • The vendor will be responsible to ensure that everything is exactly the same when they leave the site, as it was when they started the meter replacements, (ex) pipes, fittings, concrete, pressure, etc. • The vendor will be responsible for any cost of materials, if there is damage(Caused by Vendor) of pipes, concrete, (ex) sidewalks, driveways & vaults. • The contractor will be responsible to schedule meter changes at locations, if applicable. • Contractor will be responsible for locating all meters. If contractor has spent applicable time trying to locate and cannot find a meter, then the City is not obligated to find a replacement meter for the Contractor. • If Contractor finds an MXU that is broken, missing or needs to be replaced, then contractor will notify the City, and the City employees will replace MXU. If MXU is in the box but not connected, then contractor shall connect the MXU at the time of meter change.
