The County of San Diego (County) Health and Human Services Agency, Aging & Independence Services (AIS) serves as the region’s federally designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA) and administers programs focused on the safety and well-being of older adults and persons with disabilities, including Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS). HCBS are a range of services to help individuals with functional limitations live in their homes and communities and are designed to help older adults and persons with disabilities avoid institutionalization. Contractor shall provide transportation vouchers to AIS staff, for distribution to clients determined eligible for transportation to non-emergency medical, social services and special events necessary for independent living.
