Due to demand for its Aviation Maintenance Technology academic programming, Cincinnati State Technical and Community College (“CSTCC”) plans to construct ~20,000sq./ft. addition onto the existing educational building located at 10030 West Road in Harrison, Ohio. The existing education building is a single-story building at 32,881sq.ft. and was built in 1997. The College requests qualifications for a Criteria Architect/Engineer (“C-A/E”) to validate and/or update the existing Program of Requirements (“POR”) for the building addition provided by the College and to develop the design criteria for the project ensuring that the design of the additional spaces will meet the goals and operational needs of the College. This could include programming and criteria development for the existing building spaces that may be impacted by the addition. The POR has been developed by the College and will be shared with the shortlisted firms prior to the interviews. The new addition will include the following spaces with approximate sizes: ~7,800 sf hangar, ~2,000 sf power plant lab, ~2,000 sf airframe lab, ~2,600 sf of classroom space with airwall divider, ~6,200 sf of public space including restrooms, New parking areas to the East of the existing education building. The C-A/E will further support the College during the Best Value Selection process for acquisition of the Design-Build (“DB”) firm, the Preconstruction phase to include the Guarantee Maximum Price (“GMP”) amendment, and the Construction and Closeout phases of the project in accordance with the C-A/E Scope of Services. During the construction period, provide not less than 3 hours (excluding travel time) on-site construction administration services each week, including (1) attendance at progress meetings, (2) a written field report of each site visit, (3) on-site representation comprised of the A/E and any consultant staff involved in the primary design of the project, all having relevant and appropriate types of construction administration experience
