The purpose of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to solicit bids for the provision and delivery of blank signs and posts for the Traffic and Road Operations Division. BLANKS; 1. All sign blanks to be of aluminum alloy 5052H38. 2. All sign blanks to be .080 aluminum, Alodine finish, clean, flat, smooth and without holes. 3. Sign blanks will be shipped tightly bound on skids containing no more than 600 square feet of signs. 4. Blanks to have radius corners only on specified sizes. 5. No burr edging – free of sharp edges. POSTS; 6 FOOT Flanged channel type, 6' long, approximately 3-1/2" wide across flange and approximately 1-7/8" thick. Shall be hot rolled from rail steel. Weight shall not be less than (3) pounds per foot. Holes shall be 3/8" diameter, spaced 1" on center, starting one inch (1") from one end of the post. Shall be hot-dipped galvanized after cutting and punching. In accordance with ASTM Designation A123. 10 FOOT; Flanged channel type, 10' long, approximately 3-1/2" wide across flange and approximately 1- 7/8" thick. Shall be hot rolled from rail steel. Weight shall not be less than (3) pounds per foot. Shall be punched with approximately 60 holes, 3/8" diameter, spaced 1" on center, starting one inch (1") from one end of the post. Shall be hot-dipped galvanized after cutting and punching. In accordance with ASTM Designation A-123. 12 FOOT; Square type, 12 ft. long, 2” square. The wall thickness shall be approximately 1/8.” Shall be hotdipped galvanized after cutting and holes punched. (no Powder coating) 13 FOOT; Flanged channel type, 13' long, approximately 3-1/2" wide across flange and approximately 1- 7/8" thick. Shall be hot rolled from rail steel. Weight shall not be less than (3) pounds per foot. Shall be punched with approximately 78 holes, 3/8" diameter, spaced 1" on center, starting one inch (1") from one end of the post. Shall be hot-dipped galvanized after cutting and punching. In accordance with ASTM Designation A-123.
