Performance and/or Design Requirements: Dynamic message sign controllers and auxiliary control panels; Justification for single source acquisition: LESDSTAR Inc. is the sole propietary designer and vendor for these products. FDOT D2 has muliple LEDSTAR DMS installed on I10, and we do not ahve any spare controllers or control panels in inventory, so if a sign goes down, we will not have the equipment to replace the defective unit, and this sign goes down, we will not have the equipment to replace the defective unit, and this sign will be out of service for an unkown period of time. With this purchase, we will be able to replace these units within a few hours with minimal downtime.
