Provide all Labor, Equipment, Parts and Material to perform Annual Plumbing Maintenance and Repair Services on the Lamar University Campus • Respondent shall perform all Plumbing Maintenance and Repair Services on an “as needed” basis for all University properties. • Respondent shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations, ordinances and codes and obtain any licenses or permits required to provide the services under this RFP. • Respondent shall be licensed as required by the jurisdiction in which the service is to be performed and the license shall be current and in good standing. • Respondent shall only utilize licensed, trained and experienced employees to perform the work required on University properties. ▪ Respondent shall have a Master or Journeyman Plumber oversee all services under this RFP. ▪ Respondent shall be trained and licensed to remove, install and maintain natural gas products. • Respondent shall practice acceptable safety precautions so as not to cause harm to any persons or property while performing services under this RFP or any resulting contract. ▪ Respondent shall follow industry safety standards and use only industry approved safety equipment in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications in the performance of all duties. • Respondent shall clearly mark all work areas that might reasonably be expected to endanger the health and safety of residents, guests or any other persons. Respondent shall provide such signs, markers and barricades as required to identify all work areas and minimize inherent dangers. ▪ Respondent shall properly block or fence all areas of excavation. • Respondent shall maintain vehicles that are used to respond to calls for service and keep well stocked with commonly used plumbing supplies and equipment to eliminate delays and/or interruption of service. ▪ Respondent shall have the master license number clearly displayed on vehicle used for service. • If the plumbing, including but not limited to, water, gas or sewer will be out of service for more than 4 consecutive hours, the Respondent shall immediately contact the University representative who assigned the work and inform him/her of the situation, estimated time of completion and make recommendations to restore service temporarily, if possible, so as to minimize student/faculty/staff impact. ▪ Respondent shall make every effort to reduce any inconvenience to the residents at University properties.
