All materials, equipment, or products that will be in contact with drinking water (potable water) shall be tested and certified as meeting the specifications of NSF/ANSI 61 Standard in accordance with California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Section 64591. Examples include, but are not limited to, valves, pumps, flow meters, protective materials (coatings, linings, liners), joining and sealing materials, pipes, tanks, pipe fittings, filters, cleaning chemicals, and lubricants. 2. All materials, equipment, or products that will be in contact with drinking water (potable water) shall be tested and certified as “lead-free” per California Health and Safety Code Section 116875 and NSF 61 Annex G or NSF 372. 3. All chemicals that will be in contact with drinking water shall be certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 60. 4. For materials: a. Documentation which demonstrates current NSF/ANSI Standard 61 certification shall be submitted by the bidder in their bid package. b. If awarded, contractor is responsible for informing the District within 5 days, if and when their certification lapses or expires. Failure to inform the District within the allotted time will be sufficient grounds for immediate termination of the contract. 5.
