The selected contractor(s) must: • Establish effective traffic management strategies. • Ensure the safety of both workers and the public. • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders. • Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local traffic regulations. • Ensure all personnel are trained in traffic control measures and safety protocols. Services shall include, but not be limited to: • Develop a comprehensive traffic control plan (TCP) in accordance with FDOT & local regulations and standards. • Provide a Police presence when needed on FDOT roadways. • Conduct site assessments to identify potential traffic impacts. • Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders to review and finalize the TCP. • Set up and maintain appropriate signage, barriers, and traffic cones to guide motorists and pedestrians. • Regularly inspect traffic control devices to ensure their proper functionality throughout the project(s) • Deploy flaggers as necessary to direct traffic safely around work zones. • Ensure all traffic control devices are compliant with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). • Monitor traffic conditions continuously and adjust traffic control measures as needed. • Respond to any unforeseen traffic issues or emergencies promptly. • Maintain communication with law enforcement and emergency services regarding traffic conditions. • Provide clear information to the public regarding traffic changes and detours through signage and outreach efforts. • Set up a hotline or contact point for public inquiries and concerns. • Maintain daily logs of traffic control activities, including any incidents or adjustments made to the TCP. • Prepare a final report summarizing traffic control measures implemented, effectiveness, and any issues encountered. • Provide daily logs of traffic control activities. • Final report including recommendations for future projects. • Documentation of compliance with all relevant regulations.
