The work is covered under one prime contract. The General Site Contractor’s subcontractors, as applicable, are the responsibility of the General Site Contractor to schedule and coordinate work efforts. The General Site Contractor is responsible to prepare a construction schedule with input from his/her subcontractors. The General Site Contractor is to update this schedule as necessary and provide updates to the Engineer. The General Site Contractor is to prepare and submit all construction permit applications which may include, but are not necessarily limited to, Grading and Electrical from the City of Cumberland. The Commissioners of Allegany County will pay the related application, review and inspection fees assessed by the City of Cumberland and/or their code agency. Owner payment of inspection fees assumes General Site Contractor’s work is in accordance with the Project Documents, required Permits, and guidelines established by the product, material, or equipment manufacturers. The General Site Contractor is to pay inspection fees for work NOT completed in accordance with the Project Documents and Permits. The electrical subcontractor is to be a licensed/certified Master Electrician in the City of Cumberland. The selected contractor is responsible for compliance with Owner secured permits and approvals including, but not necessarily limited to, an NPDES Permit. The selected General Site Contractor is responsible for compliance with the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act for the utility infrastructure work. Compliance will include submitting a Certification Letter to the Owner. The utility infrastructure work will be paid with ARC funds and will need to be separated on the Schedule of Values The General Site Contractor shall famish all materials, equipment, supplies and labor required for the construction work shown on the Drawings and specified in the Technical Provisions of the Specifications. Excavation, fine grading, roadway construction and asphalt paving, concrete curbing, concrete sidewalks, concrete curb ramps, water mains, fire hydrants and service connections to and including curb stops, sanitary sewer mains and laterals to and including view ports, power/electrical infrastructure including decorative light standards, tree grates and landscaping. All work related to natural gas lines including trench excavation, backfill and restoration (except under pavement) will be by Columbia Gas of Maryland. The selected contractor is to coordinate and schedule this effort with Columbia Gas of Maryland.
