The scope of work to be completed under Contract No. 21-09B for the dehumidification of the main cables and anchorages which includes: • Cleaning and wrapping of the main cables • Sealing of cable bands, cable bent saddles, tower tops and anchorage castings • Design and installation of controls and monitoring system • Design and installation of the plant room and equipment • Design and installation of the electrical components • Installation of fiber optic network using existing and new fiber optic cables. • Installation of injection and exhaust sleeves on the main cables • Surface preparation and painting of steel • Installation of dry air piping and structural supports • Sealing all anchorage openings and installing new airtight doors Additional items within the Contract scope include: • Design and installation of temporary access to main cable at high and low levels • Installation of new Portsmouth Anchorages stair tower • Replacement of handropes and stanchion posts • Internal inspection of main cables • Replacement of all cable band bolts • Installation of new backstay cable bands • Anchorage concrete and crack repairs and select waterproofing • Anchorage roof perimeter safety railing installation • Replacement of decorative lighting • Security enhancements to the anchorages and suspended spans
